Where We Shop Has Real Economic And Political Significance!

As socially conscious local consumers, we have real power to choose who we open our wallets to.

LaMar Willis visited the Black Business Pop Up Shops on Compton Blvd. on a Saturday in March 2021 and was captivated by the variety and quality of mostly handmade unique goods and the talented local artisans behind their beautiful designs and products; handmade products, clothing, accessories, jewelry, home decor items and corporate gifts with impeccable craftsmanship that are interesting and unique.

LaMar believes that we as socially conscious local consumers have real power to choose who we open our wallets to. Organizations like Black Business Pop Up Shops give us the choice to say no to mass produced products with no record of who made them - think sweatshops and child labor -, and to give talented artisans of our community a place to express their artistic talents and provide them access to the local consumer market.

LaMar supports local business, both brick and mortar and pop up markets organized by communities of color across Southern California.
